Liu Xiu's rise to power

Liu Xiu was the ninth grandson of Emperor Gaozu of Han Dynasty, and a descendant of Liu Buai, a vassal of the Chunling Festival, son of Liu Fa, son of King Changsha of Emperor Jing of Western Han Dynasty.
